Oil Painting with Candice HOLECZKOCandice is an award winning artist that enjoys painting a variety of subjects. She likes to create colorful oil paintings with strong contrasts. Growing up in West Palm Beach, Florida, she has always been involved in art and was awarded her first ribbon from Norton Art Gallery in fifth grade for a poster she designed. She studied drawing and design at Pierce Jr. College in Southern California and fine art with Nathalie Salamone, owner and creator of "The Learning Tree" - a multi-media art school in Buffalo, New York. "I believe that we all have the ability to create beautiful pictures, and all we need is the desire to learn how. I enjoy natural things of the earth and find beauty in the most simple forms." To see more of Candice's art, visit her gallery.
If you would like to learn to paint with oils, I can teach you. All of my students paint this "Pot with Lemons" first. It is 9x12 and will teach you how to create shape and form on a flat surface, color balance and the basic technique of layering oils. When this has been completed you may paint the subject matter of your choice and I will guide you through it. You learn to paint by painting. Come and join the fun!

PORTRAITS IN OIL WITH ANN TUCKER
Ann Denson Tucker is a lifelong Walton County resident from the Bruce Indian Community and serves as the current Chairwoman of the Muscogee Nation of Florida. She has a B.A. from Florida State University and a Master's Degree from Troy State University. Ann prefers painting in oils. Although she spent many years in landscapes, she felt her paintings were 'lonely' and began re-directing her art
to portraits and fantasy art. She has been fortunate to study with American Master Artist David Leffel. Ann is an award winning artist. Her portraits portray the movement and body language of people in all walks of life. Recently, her portrait of Grammy award winner, Arvel Bird, was selected as the cover of his CD. She prefers to work from life and will often do a series of four paintings on a subject matter. She occasionally accepts commissions, teaches painting when time allows, and also works in stained glass.
"My art is what keeps my universe grounded. I do not know what I would do if I did not have my art."
